We’re open for 2020!

Good news! Social practice of tennis is now allowed under the Government guidelines related to Coronavirus.

It’s limited to singles play, with doubles only permitted for members of the same household. One-to-one coaching is starting again too, however we are unable to resume group sessions under the current recommendations.

Hopefully we will be able to run our exciting coaching programmes later this year, as well as enter our mixed, ladies and mens teams in the Newbury and District League.

And finally, we also hope to run social events, open days and fun tournaments when the conditions permit.

Coronavirus Update

Pangbourne Tennis Club is monitoring the Government announcements and LTA recommendations regarding the Coronavirus situation. The situation will evolve based on official recommendations, please visit this page for the latest update.

After the May 10th announcements and subsequent government paper, we are pleased to confirm that social practice of tennis is permitted, either as singles games or doubles for members of the same household only.

Whilst the courts are now available, combination padlocks will remain in place to restrict access other than permitted play. Access details will be communicated to club members by email.

There are also specific safety and hygiene rules, clearly shown on the courts and also available here. Please familiarise yourself with these rules and follow them to practice tennis safely.

Membership 2020

As social tennis can now safely resume, we are inviting membership subscriptions for 2020/21. These were normally due on April 1st and have been pro-rated to reflect the closure of the Club during April and part of May due to the Coronavirus situation.

At the March 1st General Meeting, members voted unanimously to increase the full year membership fees, bringing them in line with similar local clubs and enabling the club to invest in the required, long-term court maintenance. The fees have since been pro-rated to reflect the delayed start of the tennis season.

Please visit the membership page to read the full details and renew your membership.
