Good news! From December 2nd, outdoor tennis is allowed again under the new Government and LTA guidelines related to Coronavirus.
Singles and doubles games are permitted as long as social distancing and appropriate hygiene rules are applied. Organised coaching activities are also allowed, please visit our Coaching page for the latest information.
The new padlock code will be communicated to members by email and WhatsApp message on December 1st in the evening.
With outdoor tennis allowed again after the 2nd lockdown, we are delighted to announce that our Christmas Tournament will take place on Sunday 13th December from noon to 3pm.
Everyone is welcome and you don’t need a partner to enter. The format is ideal for players of all abilities, including juniors who can play with standard balls, serve and sustain a rally. It’s free to take part and there will be prizes!
Register now to book your place as numbers will be limited to adhere to Covid-secure guidelines.
Please bring warm clothing as the clubhouse will not be open and there may be short waiting periods depending on the number of participants.
Following requests from members, we have launched an online booking system which provides visibility of courts utilisation and allow players to book in advance. All full and monthly members have received an invitation email to register.
Please note that whilst you can still turn up without booking, booked members will have priority. The system sends a confirmation email which is your proof of booking. It is very simple to use and does not show personal details of other bookings e.g. name.
For more information or if you have not received this email, visit the Court booking page.
The Club is looking to raise additional funds to help with the ongoing maintenance of the courts and in particular to enable the re-surfacing of our main court.
We have used the Good Exchange platform to communicate our project to potential funders such as charitable trusts, businesses and philanthropic individuals. Full details of our application can be seen here.
We are pleased to report that the Greenham Trust has awarded our project a match funding offer! As a result, donations by individuals or local businesses will be doubled through the Trust’s contribution.
Should you wish to make a donation, or if you know of a local business that would like to support our project, please contact the Committee who will guide you or donate directly and safely via our project page on the Good Exchange.
